Captain Redeye and the Hoods is a jumpin’, jivin’ and wailin’ nine-piece gangster swing band, playing an upbeat mix of jump-jazz from the 1940s and 50s alongside big-band classics and hits from the modern swing revival, with a dash of Latin and Calypso thrown in for good measure. Their inspiration and playlist is drawn from the golden era of Hollywood cinema and features old favourites from artists such as Louis Prima, Nat King Cole, and Frank Sinatra, as well as original compositions and rock and pop reinterpretations, all delivered in the Hoods own hard-swingin’ style and guaranteed to get you dancing in the aisles...!
